A worldwide training jointly provided by IAC-Cameroon, Académie de l'Ecrit and Centre Lyonnais de Sténotypie, France, using modern day tools (Electronic stenotypes, Computer-Aided Speech Capturing and Transcription Software, etc.)

Possibility of achieving the training in another partner school.

Admission, duration & certification

Admission : GCE/A level or Bachelor degree

The candidate must have :

  • Good knowledge of the working language

  • Good general knowledge compatible with the work of writing and editing meetings reports, analytical, synoptic or synthetic.

  • Good listening and comprehension skills, alloing to understand the context of the comments made, and be opened for technology awareness.

Training modules

  • Speech capturing and automatic transcription,

  • Text writing

  • Text editing

Training certification

The training is sanctioned by the title of Debates Stenotypist or the Certified Stenotypy teacher, jointly issued by the IAC (under Cameroonian law) and the Académie de l'Ecrit/the Center Lyonnais de Sténotypie (under French law).

Training duration

3 years in normal cycle or 24 consecutive months of intense training
